Advice on Gaining EMCC Accreditations

From March 2014-2016, I undertook the role of EMCC Vice President (Standards), which included responsibility for the accreditations: EIA, EQA, ESIA and ESQA.

European Individual Accreditation – an award for mentors and coaches

How do you distinguish yourself as a coach-mentor within a crowded marketplace – demonstrate that you have been assessed against demanding quality standards? One way is to apply for the award of European Individual Assessment. The EMCC website provides information as to how to do this http://www.emccouncil.org/eu/en/accreditation/eia.

I was among the first coach-mentors to apply for EIA and am one of the few to be awarded it at Master Practitioner Level. I am also among the most experienced EIA assessors. I have seen applicants waste a great deal of time by failing to understand what evidence their assessor will be looking for. Therefore, the offer is to act as advisor to help you understand the process and best address the evidence requirements. Getting this advice is an excellent investment in your future.

European Supervision Individual Accreditation – an award for supervisors of mentors and coaches

Similarly to EIA, the ESIA accredits coaching and mentoring supervisors and is a kite mark of good practice.

I was responsible for its introduction and therefore have a good working knowledge of it.

European Quality Award – an accreditation for coaching and mentoring training programmes

The EQA accredits training programmes, and I have extensive experience of assessing applicants for this award

European Supervision Quality Award – an accreditation for coaching and mentoring supervisor training programmes

Similarly to EQA, the ESQA accredits coaching and mentoring development programmes and is a kite mark of good practice.

I have a good working knowledge of it.

What people say

As a program manager I’ve had the pleasure to work with David during the EMCC accreditation of GROW OD Group’s Integrative Coaching Training. We selected David from a number of possible consultants to support our accreditation process. We asked for his support regarding the content of our application; however we have received much more than we have expected. His insightful questions and philosophy-level inquiries helped us to crystallise some additional core ideas within our program and supported us in the preparation of our final documentation as well. As a result GROW OD Group is proud to provide an internationally accredited coach training for would-be coaches in Hungary! Insight, experience and a good process. Working with David? Highly recommended. Zoltán Csigás,  EMCC Global  Vice President Research,  2015-8
